Ella Henderson to headline Pride Cymru 2025 as parade, prices and more announced (2025)

Pride Cymru is returning to Cardiff in 2025, promising another spectacularly colourful celebration to brighten up our streets. In recent times thousands have attended and marked the occasion and if last year is anything to by we can expect 2025 to be bigger and better than ever.

Set for Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22, the festivities will take place at the location of their very first event: Coopers Field, Bute Park. The parade which winds through the city will be back this year on Saturday, June 21 alongside performances, including the main headliner Ella Henderson, and a number of family-friendly activities and live entertainment to keep the energy up throughout the event.

Pride Cymry 2024 saw a huge turnout, with a sea of colour brightening up the streets as people descended to celebrate, dressing up to the nines as they waved flags and banners to mark the day in style after organisers predicted around 50,000 people would attend. When is the parade?

The parade will take place in Cardiff city centre on Saturday, June 21, bringing together LGBTQ+ groups, businesses, and individuals to show support for LGBTQIA+ communities, and this year, and celebrate all of the progress to date.

Festival timings

The festival runs over two days with performances across two stages, featuring a mix of well-known and local artists on Saturday, June 21 and Sunday, June 22.

What else is happening?

In previous years there's been a community market with information from a wide range of organisations and items from LGBTQ+ small businesses to buy. In 2024, there were family and youth areas provide a great day out of activity and entertainment for the entire family in the Castle Mews. It has not yet been announced whether there will be anything similar happening this year, but there are often plenty of activities and things going on at the event throughout the weekend, so we are expecting exciting things.

How do I get tickets?

Tickets are available with prices starting at £16.80 for adults and £4.50 for children aged between 5-14. Children under five go free. Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 18 or over. VIP tickets start at £39.20. You can buy tickets if you wish to do so here.

What else do I need to know?

Pride Cymru will soon have a long list of FAQs online covering things like whether you can take a dog, whether you can take your own food and drink (you often can, with some exceptions). There are also regular updates being posted on the Pride Cymru Facebook page.

What is the accessibility like?

Writing on their website, Pride Cymru says: "We know that everyone’s needs are different, so if you have any specific accessibility requirements, please fill out our Accessibility Form. This will be sent via email once you have purchased your accessible ticket. The form will also allow you to request a carer or personal assistant/companion ticket, and book accessible parking. Once we receive your form back, a friendly member of our team will get in touch to chat about how we can make your Pride Cymru experience the best it can be!"

Accessibility tickets are the same price as other tickets, which can be found on the website here.
